This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales expertise while working in a lively outdoor and indoor retail setting. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering expert advice on plants, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and floral arrangements. Maintain attractive product displays through merchandising and stock replenishment to enhance the shopping experience. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management. Identify plants and gardening tools to help customers select suitable options for their outdoor projects. Provide excellent customer service via phone communication, answering inquiries about products or store services promptly and professionally. Support outdoor work activities such as plant care, watering, pruning, and landscape maintenance tasks as needed. Keep the store organized by stocking shelves, managing inventory levels, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met. Assist with floral design projects or plant arrangement demonstrations to inspire customer creativity. Skills Strong knowledge of lawn care, gardening practices, horticulture, and landscape maintenance techniques. Experience with retail sales processes including POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations. Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers both face-to-face and over the phone. Outdoor work experience demonstrating comfort working in various weather conditions. Ability to identify plants accurately and provide horticultural advice confidently. Organizational skills for merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining a tidy store environment. Familiarity with floral design concepts is advantageous for supporting creative displays or arrangements.
