Responsibilities Operate cash register efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly. Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism. Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to store standards for cleanliness and safety. Support inventory management by assisting with stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed. Demonstrate strong communication skills by engaging customers politely via phone etiquette or in person. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent store performance. Assist in training new team members when required. Requirements Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in a bilingual environment is a plus. Experience with grocery store operations or retail merchandising is advantageous. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings or weekends. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset. Basic knowledge of grocery store procedures such as stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques.
