Duties Greet customers warmly and identify their needs to recommend suitable gardening, lawn care, and outdoor maintenance products. Assist customers with product selection, including plants, floral arrangements, tools, and landscape supplies. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and manage receipts efficiently. Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. Provide expert plant identification guidance and advice on horticulture practices to enhance customer satisfaction. Support inventory management through stock replenishment, inventory counts, and organizing back-stock areas. Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person to answer questions about products or services. Engage in outdoor work activities such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening tasks as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of lawn care, gardening techniques, horticulture practices, and plant identification. Experience with retail sales processes, including cashiering and POS systems operation. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and problem-solving approach. Organizational skills for stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a tidy store environment. Ability to work outdoors comfortably in various weather conditions; outdoor work experience is preferred. Knowledge of floral design principles and retail math for accurate pricing and inventory management. Proficiency in phone communication to assist customers remotely or answer inquiries promptly.
