Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary Join Linda’s Crafty Studio as a Retail Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm for arts, crafts, and customer service will help create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience. In this role, you will assist customers with product selection, promote creative supplies and handmade items, and maintain an organized and attractive store environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail sales skills while contributing to a creative workplace that values communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance with arts, crafts, and creative products. Maintain an attractive store presentation through merchandising, product displays, and organization of craft supplies. Process customer purchases using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Provide information about craft materials, DIY projects, handmade products, and creative techniques. Assist with inventory management by organizing stock, replenishing shelves, and monitoring product availability. Promote studio products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and support sales growth. Assist with customer inquiries, product orders, and online sales when required. Communicate effectively in English and other languages to serve a diverse customer base. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising principles is an asset. An interest in arts and crafts, handmade products, DIY projects, or creative activities is beneficial. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English; additional languages are an asset. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment. Experience with e-commerce platforms or online order processing is an advantage but not mandatory.
