Retail Route Driver/Merchandiser

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Retail Route Driver/Merchandiser and become the vital link between our products and our valued customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver merchandise to retail stores, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. You’ll also engage with store personnel to set up displays, restock shelves, and build strong customer relationships that drive sales and brand loyalty. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies to deliver products across assigned routes. Manage route driving schedules efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. Conduct heavy lifting using safe lifting practices to unload, load, and merchandise products at retail locations. Perform merchandising duties such as product placement, pricing adjustments, and display setup to maximize sales opportunities. Build strong relationships with retail store staff through clear communication, professional service, and proactive client communication. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, inventory levels, pricing adjustments, and route logs for operational efficiency. Experience Proven experience in retail store environments or merchandising roles that demonstrate familiarity with product placement and customer engagement. Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license; prior experience operating commercial trucks preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation, safety protocols, and transportation laws. Strong math skills for calculating pricing adjustments, inventory counts, and route planning. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination. Ability to lift heavy items safely while following proper lifting practices; physical stamina for extended periods of driving and merchandising tasks. Organizational skills to manage route schedules efficiently, keep detailed records, and prioritize daily tasks effectively.
