Retail Manager

Responsibilities Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to cultivate a high-performing team. Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales processes, cash handling, POS systems, and customer service standards. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to maximize product availability and sales. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. Conduct employee orientation sessions, training & development programs, and team meetings to promote operational excellence. Handle employee scheduling, shift management, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Utilize strong management skills to monitor store performance metrics, manage budgets, and optimize operational workflows. Skills Proven experience in retail store management with supervisory or managerial roles in the retail industry. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and convey managerial directives clearly. Strong organizational skills for inventory management, stock control, and operational planning. Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math including pricing and sales calculations. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing decisions, and vendor relations to ensure optimal inventory levels. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases effectively. Experience with recruiting, interviewing candidates, onboarding new employees, and managing payroll processes. Demonstrated leadership in managing retail sales teams with a focus on customer service excellence. Knowledge of grocery store operations or similar environments is advantageous. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through effective time management and organizational skills.
