RETAIL LUMBERYARD YARD PERSON / YARD MANAGER

Job Summary As a Retail Lumberyard Yard Employee , you’ll help keep lumber and building materials organized, in good condition , and ready for customer pickup or delivery. You’ll support lumberyard operations by receiving, storing, picking, and loading orders, using company equipment safely and following established safety procedures. Ensure customers and contractors receive their orders in good condition and on time. This successful person may be promoted to Yard Manager in the first 12 months. Duties Accurately pick, stage, and load walk-in customers and orders for delivery. Load and unload lumber and other building materials using safe handling practices. Operate a forklift safely. and efficiently. Support shipping and receiving, inventory management, and lumberyard operations. Keep lumberyard clean and organized. Ability to lift heavy loads up to 75 lbs. Other duties that are assigned. Experience Two plus years of lumberyard experience is required. Good knowledge of lumber and building materials. Able to learn and use company computer software. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to read and possess basic math skills. Class B driving license a Plus.
