Retail Assistant Manager

Duties Lead and supervise the retail sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching and motivation Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to optimize product availability and presentation Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in customer service, sales techniques, and operational procedures Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Assist with recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions Monitor sales performance, prepare sales reports, and assist with budgeting and operational planning Experience Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing retail sales teams Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping practices Excellent negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing negotiations Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively Experience with payroll processing, cash handling, and store bookkeeping is preferred Demonstrated leadership in training & development initiatives, team management, and operational oversight This role demands energetic leadership combined with detailed organizational skills to ensure the store runs efficiently while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
