COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $20 per hour PLUS sales commission Full-time, year-round employment Paid holidays Paid vacation Paid sick leave SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to 3% employer matching Predictable daytime hours Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday schedule No evening or Sunday shifts Opportunity for professional growth and increased earnings Friendly, locally owned business environment RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Customer Relationships Build relationships with local chefs, restaurant owners, and foodservice professionals Assist customers with commercial kitchen equipment, restaurant supplies, and smallwares Prepare accurate quotes, research products, and follow up on sales opportunities Develop new accounts and maintain relationships with existing customers Occasionally visit local restaurants and customers to discuss equipment and supply needs Provide knowledgeable, professional customer service Inventory & Store Operations Assist with inventory management, stock counts, and inventory accuracy Research and correct inventory discrepancies Maintain accurate product descriptions, pricing, and inventory records Help with receiving, organizing, and merchandising products Monitor stock levels and identify products that need replenishment Maintain an organized, attractive, and well-stocked showroom Computer & Administrative Responsibilities Use computerized inventory, sales, and customer management systems daily Prepare and manage quotes, sales orders, and customer communications Research equipment specifications, product availability, and pricing online Work efficiently with email, spreadsheets, and business software Maintain accurate records and follow up on outstanding customer requests REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Extensive professional restaurant, commercial kitchen, or foodservice experience Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and restaurant supplies Strong computer proficiency and comfort learning new software Experience with inventory management, inventory counts, or computerized inventory systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through independently Dependable, proactive, and team-oriented PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Five years of professional restaurant, commercial kitchen, or foodservice experience preferred Experience with QuickBooks or other computerized inventory/accounting systems Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Previous restaurant purchasing, ordering, or inventory control experience Sales or account management experience Experience preparing customer quotes and researching commercial kitchen equipment Previous sales experience is helpful, but restaurant industry knowledge, computer proficiency, and organizational skills are essential.
