Scrap Daddy CompostingAbout Us Scrap Daddy Composting is a Charlotte-based food scrap pickup and composting service helping local residents and businesses divert waste and give back to the soil. We’re a small, hands-on team, and our drivers are the friendly face of the company on every route. About the Role We’re looking for a reliable, personable Residential Route Driver to run our curbside compost pickup routes in Charlotte. You’ll swap full buckets for clean ones at customers’ porches, keep the truck in good shape, and represent Scrap Daddy Composting well. Prior experience is a plus, but not needed, and we provide paid training. What You’ll Do Prep your route and load clean buckets before heading out Swap full compost buckets for clean ones at customers’ porches Load full buckets into the truck Log each stop in our mobile app Follow company protocols for every pickup Keep the truck clean Greet customers in person when you cross paths and represent the company well Schedule Tuesday through Friday, no weekends. Routes run anywhere from 2.5 to 7 hours. Roughly 10-15 hours per week, with flexible start times. Routes start and end at our East Charlotte location. Requirements Valid NC driver’s license and a clean driving record Must be 18 or older Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, handling food scraps and odors, and getting in and out of the truck repeatedly Reliable, punctual, friendly, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a good communicator Nice to Have Previous delivery, route, or driving experience Customer service experience Pay & Perks $18/hour with a $2 raise after a 1 month trial period Paid training Flexible hours Growth potential within the company Company-provided truck, with fuel, tolls, and parking all covered Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week Benefits: Paid training Work Location: In person
