Little Fawn LLC is looking for an experienced Construction & Building Materials Sales professional to join our growing team. If you know your way around a lumberyard, understand how construction projects come together, can read a set of plans, build a material takeoff, and enjoy helping customers find the right solution — this could be the opportunity you've been looking for. We are a family-owned, independent lumber yard, hardware store, and building materials supplier serving homeowners, contractors, farmers, and businesses throughout North Central Indiana. We're looking for someone who has: 2+ years of sales experience in a lumberyard, hardware store, home center, building materials dealer, or similar environment Solid construction and building materials knowledge Experience with material takeoffs Experience preparing estimates and material quotes Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints Strong understanding of measurements, quantities, and material requirements Experience working with contractors, builders, remodelers, or homeowners Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent phone skills General computer skills POS system experience is a big plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail A self-motivated, energetic attitude Dependability and a strong work ethic Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player WHAT YOU'LL DO This position is about much more than simply taking orders. You'll work directly with customers to understand their projects, recommend products, develop quotes, and help turn their plans into reality. Your responsibilities will include: Selling lumber, hardware, roofing, siding, and other building materials Working with homeowners, contractors, builders, farmers, and businesses Preparing material takeoffs, estimates, and quotes Reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints Helping customers determine the products and quantities they need Answering phones and assisting customers in person Processing sales and orders through our POS system Following up on quotes and customer opportunities Answering product and application questions Communicating with vendors and our yard, delivery, and quoting teams Maintaining accurate customer and order information Learning Little Fawn's products, pricing, and procedures Taking ownership of your customers from the first conversation through the completed sale WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO...
