Research Associate I/II, In Vivo
EnqubioJob description: Overview: EnquBio, a dynamic technology-driven discovery and service company, is actively searching for a highly capable and self-motivated research associate to join our rapidly growing team in San Diego. As a key member of the in vivo pharmacology team, you will play a critical role in advancing our scientific initiatives and contributing to the success of our drug discovery projects. Responsibilities: Perform in vivo pharmacology studies in supporting various projects. Perform in vivo studies, including dosing (e.g., IP, IV, PO, SC), tumor implantation, and disease model induction. Monitor, measure, and record animal health parameters (e.g., body weight, clinical scores, tumor size). Conduct necropsy, blood and tissue collection, and preparation for downstream analysis Assist with and perform other experiments as required Maintain accurate and integrated study records, ensuring compliance with IACUC, institutional SOPs, and animal care guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrated study designs. Contribute to lab organization, inventory management, ordering/shipping/receiving, and routine maintenance of animal facility equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Pharmacology, or a related life science discipline. 0–3 years of laboratory experience (academic or industry); prior hands-on work with rodents strongly preferred. Experience troubleshooting experiments and performing data analysis. Experience with mammalian cell culture, compound handling, and ex vivo assays (e.g., FACS, ELISA, histology, LC/MS) is desirable. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow SOPs. Understand and implement study protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements for compliance with IACUC guidelines. Proficient in oral, written, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate effectively, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements: Ability to work with laboratory animals, biohazards, and chemicals in compliance with safety standards. Ability to perform necropsy and handle biological samples, including blood and tissues. Must be able to wear required PPE (gloves, lab coat, respirator, eye/face protection, etc.). Ability to work in both office and laboratory environments, with variable noise levels. Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods; crouch, bend, twist, and reach as needed; perform activities with repetitive motions. Routine ability to lift, push, or pull up to 10 lbs. Visual acuity to identify colors and perform detailed laboratory work. Ability to work under variable temperature conditions (indoor and occasional outdoor tasks). Must be able to drive and transport research materials between facilities as required. *Following hire, on-site orientation and entry-level training for in vivo skills will be provided.
