Replenishment Buyer

HOURLY PAY RATE: $15+ PURPOSE: To buy and merchandise items in the store while maintaining quality control and accurate information keeping. REPORTS TO: Merchandising Manager ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Operations Buy, stock, display and cull product in the store Ensure perishable product is temperature controlled. Rotate all product while stocking. Order product in quantities adequate to maintain fully stocked sets, while keeping inventory low enough to ensure optimal freshness, and to keep backstock to a minimum. Run movement reports and adjust inventory based on the results Place, receive, price and communicate with customers about special orders Participate in counting inventory _ Brand _ Assist customers with product suggestions, questions, comments and complaints in prompt, friendly, and courteous manner. Maintain a customer friendly appearance to the store during the delivery and stocking process in the best possible manner. Ensure products are meeting product quality standards on sales floor Ensure that all department’s shelves, displays, aisles, prep & storage areas are in clean, orderly condition, meeting health department & ADA standards. Ensure all signs and shelf tags are attractive, accurate, and near the correct product. Offer tastes, samples, suggestions for purchase and ways to prepare products. Ensure building and maintaining of in-store displays, according to established standards for appearance, variety and ease of shopping and stocking. _ Financial _ Ensure accurate, up-to-date prices for all produce items in POS system and shelf tags. Check delivery against invoice to make sure proper product, quantity and size were delivered. Coordinate storage of items to be returned to suppliers. See that unsellable items are properly disposed of. Keep accurate shrink records. Facilities Ensure sell by dates and ingredients on repacked items are accurate. Keep supplies clean and organized. (i.e. produce tags, knives, and gloves) Use equipment safely. Cooperation Effectively communicate with other staff members while maintaining a positive attitude and respectful tone. Assist customers in all departments, in prompt, friendly, courteous manner, referring them to other staff when necessary. Follow and complete tasks on checklists assigned with the highest attention to detail. Cover overflow cashiering. Cover cashier breaks as needed. Answer & route phone calls. Perform other tasks assigned by General Manager and Operations Supervisor. Attend trainings, webinars and conferences as assigned. Excellent communication skills. Ability to lift 50 pounds and team lift 50+. Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to work in cold, wet conditions. Ability to maintain timely and consistent attendance Willingness to work weekends as needed. Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
