Role and Responsibilities of Repack Associate:
• Inspect damaged products to determine whether items can be recovered, repackaged, or discarded.
• Sort and salvage merchandise while following established quality and safety standards.
• Repackage approved products to ensure they meet company and inventory requirements.
• Assist warehouse management with shrink reduction initiatives and inventory recovery efforts.
• Support inventory reconciliation by documenting product adjustments and maintaining accurate records.
• Identify packaging concerns and communicate improvement opportunities to appropriate teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each shift.
• Follow warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and quality control standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely, as required for assigned tasks.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, inventory control, and operations teams to improve efficiency.
• Report damaged inventory, discrepancies, and operational issues to supervisors promptly.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience of Repack Associate:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.
• Previous warehouse, distribution, inventory, or product handling experience is beneficial.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and recording inventory information.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively while following written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Good mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and inventory reconciliation.
• Ability to prioritize work while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with warehouse teams.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in warehouse distribution, inventory control, or product recovery operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory management practices.
• Experience supporting shrink reduction or inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Familiarity with warehouse documentation and reconciliation processes.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improving product handling and packaging efficiency.
