Remote Medical Transportation Dispatcher – Join Our Growing Team Rapid Wheelchair and Stretcher Transport is seeking a dependable, experienced Remote Transportation Dispatcher to join our growing team. This position is fully remote and open to qualified applicants throughout the United States. This fast-paced position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The dispatcher coordinates daily transportation schedules, communicates with drivers, and helps keep operations running smoothly throughout the day. This is not a basic customer service or administrative position. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple calls and tasks simultaneously, handling unexpected situations, and making independent decisions when schedules change. Responsibilities Coordinate and assign daily transportation trips Communicate with drivers throughout the day Monitor transportation schedules and vehicle locations Make scheduling and routing adjustments as needed Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities, patients, and families Respond quickly to delays and unexpected schedule changes Verify pickup addresses, destinations, appointment times, and other important trip details Maintain accurate trip information and documentation Support drivers and help resolve daily operational issues Qualifications Previous experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, logistics, fleet operations, public safety, emergency communications, or a similar fast-paced environment is strongly preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy environment Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to verify information accurately Comfortable using computers, dispatch software, and multiple systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Dependable, reliable, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home workspace Non-emergency medical transportation experience is helpful but not required Work Schedule This position follows a predictable, rotating two-week schedule. Week 1 Tuesday: 8 AM – 7 PM Wednesday: 8 AM – 7 PM Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM Sunday: 11 AM – 6 PM Approximately 38 hours Week 2 Monday: 8 AM – 7 PM Thursday: 8 AM – 7 PM Friday: 8 AM – 7 PM Approximately 33 hours The schedule repeats every two weeks. You will work every other weekend and enjoy every other weekend off. Average weekly hours: Approximately 35–36 hours. All scheduled hours are Eastern Time (ET).
