Remote Freight Broker Agent

Overview As a Remote Freight Broker Agent, you’ll connect shippers with reliable carriers and keep freight moving from booking through delivery. You’ll build client and carrier relationships, develop new business, negotiate rates, and coordinate shipment details while working remotely. This role calls for clear communication, organized follow-through, and a customer-focused approach to changing transportation needs. Your impact: By matching shipments with suitable carriers and keeping clients informed, you help customers move freight reliably and support smooth supply chain operations. Responsibilities Generate leads and grow accounts through business-to-business (B2B) sales, inside sales, and ongoing account management. Coordinate freight brokerage, transportation planning, dispatching, and shipping logistics; track shipments and resolve service issues. Negotiate pricing and contracts with clients and carriers, balancing service requirements with practical transportation options. Maintain accurate shipment, customer, and carrier records using customer relationship management (CRM) software, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Office. Communicate shipment updates, support customer service needs, and follow applicable trade and shipping requirements. Skills Essential: Sales, freight brokerage, negotiation, customer service, client communication, account management, and strong organization. Relevant experience: Logistics, freight, transportation sales, carrier sales, logistics sales, 3PL (third-party logistics), logistics company experience, freight forwarding logistics, air freight, NVOCC (non-vessel-operating common carrier), and supply chain management. Tools and operations: CRM software, transportation management systems, EDI (electronic data interchange), AS400, data entry, and Microsoft Office. Additional knowledge: Transportation management, transportation planning, sales management, lead generation, sales negotiation, pricing, contracts, supply chain, and client relationship management. Helpful familiarity: International trade regulations, trade compliance, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations, and shipping logistics. Pay: $100.00 - $150.00 per day Work Location: Remote
