Initial Posting Close Date – November 20, 2026 About This Opportunity The Reliability & Process Engineer is the plant technical owner for asset health, chronic-loss elimination and sustained line performance. Working closely with Operations and Maintenance, this role strengthens maintenance strategies, turns equipment and process data into practical solutions, and improves USLE, yield and productivity through structured problem solving. Role focus: approximately 70% equipment reliability and 30% process improvement. The balance may shift temporarily based on plant priorities, but reliability remains the primary mandate. Responsibilities Equipment reliability | Approximately 70% Own the plant asset-health and reliability improvement plan, prioritizing work based on safety, quality, equipment criticality, chronic losses and business impact. Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs using equipment criticality, failure history, FMEA/RCM principles, inspection standards and task-effectiveness reviews. Develop annual and multi-year overhaul strategies, including scope, timing, OEM requirements, parts, labour, budget, risk and post-overhaul acceptance criteria. Lead critical spare-parts optimization, including BOM accuracy, min/max settings, obsolescence, repairable spares, preservation and stockout-risk management. Lead or facilitate root-cause analysis for major and repeat failures using structured methods such as 5 Whys, fishbone, fault tree and DMAIC; verify that corrective actions are effective and sustained. Expand condition monitoring and precision maintenance practices, including vibration, thermography, ultrasound, lubrication, alignment, balancing and installation quality, where justified. Use SAP/CMMS data to improve work-order quality, failure coding, BOMs, task lists, maintenance plans, backlog risk and schedule readiness. Apply life-cycle asset management and Early Management principles to projects, commissioning, FAT/SAT, maintainability, reliability acceptance and equipment handover. Provide technical support during significant equipment failures while maintaining a focus on permanent recurrence elimination rather than routine firefighting. Process improvement | Approximately 30% Analyze plant loss trees and equipment/process interactions to identify the issues that most materially affect USLE, throughput, yield, quality and cost. Lead targeted improvement projects related to bottlenecks, minor stops, speed loss, changeovers, centerlining, start-up performance and material yiel…
