CDL-A Five-Car Hauler Driver — Home Daily — We are hiring a full-time CDL-A driver to operate a 2024 Chevrolet 5500HD fifth-wheel tractor with a Kaufman five-car auto-transport trailer. Pay $4,300 for the first 30-day training/probationary period $5,000 per month after successful completion $2,000 retention bonus after six months $100 safety bonus for each clean month $50 bonus for every clean DOT inspection Yearly salary reflections for a raise Schedule Monday through Saturday Typical start around 5:30 a.m. on weekdays Driver returns home every night Routes primarily throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania End times vary based on traffic, dealerships, auctions and loading conditions Responsibilities Safely load, position and unload up to five vehicles Properly secure every vehicle using wheel straps Complete detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections Take vehicle-condition photos and complete electronic BOLs Operate legally using an ELD and follow all DOT/HOS requirements Plan routes around bridge clearances, restricted roads and fuel stops Communicate professionally with dispatchers, brokers, dealerships, auctions and customers Keep the truck, cab and trailer clean and organized Report damage, mechanical problems, tickets or accidents immediately Requirements Valid Class A CDL Current DOT medical card Acceptable MVR and ability to pass insurance approval Must pass DOT pre-employment drug testing and Clearinghouse query Comfortable driving in the Northeast and navigating tight dealerships and auctions Physically able to climb trailer decks, operate ramps and secure vehicles Reliable transportation to and from the Milford truck location Dependable, safety-focused and able to work independently Auto-hauling experience preferred, but training may be available for the right CDL-A driver This is a company-driver position with assigned equipment and consistent work.
