• Work with the corporate Meyer Supply Chain team to design/improve necessary processes, systems, reports, and KPIs.
• Provide leadership to all on-site inventory control functions.
• Interface/collaborate with a wide range of business functions to achieve objectives.
• Leverage technology to streamline goals and objectives.
• Participate in ERP transition/implementations and further develop processes and reports to support business needs.
• Engage in operating income initiatives, reducing operations costs and increasing efficiency.
• Engage in best practices learning across all regions of supply chain to optimize operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring that the region's unique supply chain needs are addressed in negotiated contracts.
• Ensure maintenance of a reliable and cost-effective supply chain to all sites in the assigned region.
• Work with the Transportation Manager to ensure logistics needs of all sites in the region are accounted for.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• CPIM and/or CSCP certifications preferred.
• A proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and internal/external customers.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience and skill with planning, forecasting, and execution systems.
• Conceptual understanding of planning and ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational, teamwork, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• 7+ years' experience in a supply chain leadership role within heavy manufacturing.
• 5+ years' experience with MRP or other supply chain planning systems.
