Purpose:

The Regional Store Operations Manager provides strategic leadership and direction for the retail division, driving sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. They lead and develop a high-performing team, prioritize the customer experience, and identify opportunities for business expansion and success in the retail market.

Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:


People Leadership:

  • Lead and inspire a team of retail managers, supervisors, and staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Set clear expectations, communicate goals, and ensure alignment with company values and objectives. Conduct regular performance evaluations, address performance issues, and recognize and reward high achievers.
  • Collaborate with HR team to support culture and people initiatives.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to plan and execute promotions, events, and visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure effective inventory management practices to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the efficient operation of retail stores, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Manage budgets and expenses, including headcount, operational costs, and capital expenditures, to achieve financial objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to store operations, such as store traffic, conversion rates, etc.
  • Ensure the timely submission of reports and bonus submissions

Customer Experience and Satisfaction:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach and ensure that all team members prioritize customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction metrics, taking action to address concerns and enhance the overall shopping experience.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute long-term strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve competitive advantage in the retail market.
  • Collaborate with senior management team to align regional retail objectives with overall company goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in related field is required. Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a Regional Retail Manager or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to align retail strategies with business objectives.
  • Possess effective persuasion and negotiation skills to articulate options, offer advice, and influence decision-making processes. 
  • Able to offer flexible availability
  • Sits for extended periods when in the office with the opportunity to get up and move around as desired. 
  • Must have a valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven to be a strong people leader, with strong analytical and sales skills.
  • Proven ability to self-manage, manage a team and achieve/exceed results.
  • Ability to train, coach, and lead a team with a positive attitude.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a clean drivers abstract and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel throughout Ontario & Alberta, with the possibility of overnight hotel stays.
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Ability to carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Capability to climb ladders safely to access elevated areas when required for job tasks.
  • Flexibility to stand for extended periods, bend and move comfortably to perform job tasks.
