Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Company Step Deck Freight Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills. Responsibilities Operate a step deck trailer in safe manor. Safely load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Plan routes effectively for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery records. Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays during transport. Assist in the training of new drivers as needed. Skills Class A CDL Required 2-3 Years Experience Required Proficient in operating manual an automatic transmission vehicles. Experience with step deck trailers and cargo securement. Strong truck driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in route driving. Ability to load and unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment as necessary. Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.
