Drivers will transport containers between port terminals, rail yards, and customer locations in GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and AL while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Most loads require the driver to start his/her shift very early in the morning (2am/3am). Key Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer hauling intermodal containers. Pick up and deliver containers to and from port terminals, warehouses, and distribution centers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Secure containers properly using chassis and locking mechanisms. Maintain accurate logs and required documentation (ELD compliant). Communicate effectively with dispatch and port personnel. Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations. Monitor and report equipment issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL . Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience (intermodal experience preferred). TWIC card required (or ability to obtain). Clean MVR and stable work history. Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening. Knowledge of port operations is a plus. Strong time management and communication skills. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to climb in and out of truck cab and container. Lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
