Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of branded hotels across the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC markets. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring brand and regulatory compliance, and leading General Managers to achieve operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with multi-property experience who understands how to improve revenue, control costs, and build strong on-property leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Financial Performance
- Achieve and exceed revenue, GOP, and NOI targets across the portfolio
- Analyze STR reports, pace, and market trends to improve RevPAR index and ADR
- Partner with revenue management to optimize pricing and demand strategies
- Control expenses and improve operational efficiency without compromising guest experience
- Leadership & Accountability
- Directly oversee and support General Managers across multiple properties
- Hold GMs accountable for financial results, guest satisfaction, and team performance
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing leadership teams
- Conduct regular property visits, performance reviews, and operational audits
- Brand & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure all hotels meet or exceed brand standards and QA requirements
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee safety, risk management, and asset protection initiatives
- Guest Experience & Reputation Management
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores (GSS, Medallia, etc.) and online reviews
- Implement action plans to improve service delivery and guest loyalty
- Ensure consistent execution of brand service standards
- Operational Excellence
- Standardize processes across properties for efficiency and consistency
- Oversee capital projects, renovations, and property improvements
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of major hotel brands (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, etc.)
- Proven track record of improving financial performance and STR rankings
- Deep understanding of hotel P&L, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold leaders accountable
- Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Willingness to travel regularly between properties
