Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all work practices, policies, and processes.
• Oversee all aspects of the maintenance hub and spoke sites aligned with the region's business plan and budget.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff professionally.
• Maximize the return on investment for fleet assets by effectively planning, managing, and directing maintenance activities.
• Collaborate closely with Area and Branch Managers to support operational needs and implement maintenance strategies.
• Manage repairs to enhance uptime and meet customer demands, utilizing overtime and outsourcing as necessary.
• Evaluate vehicles and equipment for replacement or refurbishment based on age, repair history, and total lifetime repair costs.
• Stay updated and ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures (DOT, OSHA, RCRA, etc.).
• Prepare analytical reports and make recommendations for continuous improvements.
• Initiate projects aimed at improving efficiency or reducing costs.
• Ensure personnel are well trained, equipped, and motivated positively.
• Maintain regular communication with business owners to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure that all tools, equipment, and machinery are kept in good working order.
• Foster a collaborative environment by communicating clear expectations.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of operations experience in logistics, maintenance, transportation, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of strong leadership and employee development experience.
• Ability to derive actionable insights from data and information.
• Proficient in strategic planning with a focus on tactical execution.
• Capability to work effectively across business lines.
• Demonstrated aptitude for project management and change leadership.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Experience leading large teams across multiple facilities.
• Proven track record in enhancing safety, employee retention, and cost savings.
