Regional Driver
SazeracAs a Regional Driver, you’ll transport materials between Sazerac facilities in Dallas, Texas, and Jeffersonville, Indiana, making the route twice per week. This is a no-touch freight position using a drop-and-hook process, meaning you won’t be responsible for loading or unloading freight or making deliveries to retail stores. Drivers are expected to arrive in Jeffersonville within four hours of the scheduled Monday departure, get their required rest, and then make the delivery. This role is key to keeping our internal transportation network running safely and on schedule. What You’ll Do Safely operate a commercial truck and trailer between Sazerac facilities in Dallas and Jeffersonville, completing the route twice per week. Follow the established Monday schedule, including arriving in Jeffersonville within four hours of departure, resting as required, and making the scheduled delivery. Complete drop-and-hook trailer exchanges; freight is no-touch, with no loading or unloading required and no deliveries to retail stores. Follow all DOT, federal, state, and company safety requirements, including hazardous materials transportation regulations. Complete vehicle inspections, maintain accurate driving and maintenance logs, and promptly report vehicle issues or safety concerns. Required High school diploma or GED. Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Valid HazMat endorsement. Clean driving record and ability to meet applicable DOT and company driving requirements. Compliance with all applicable Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements. Preferred Two years of relevant commercial driving experience. Experience with drop-and-hook operations, trailer exchanges, and transportation documentation. Ability to work nontraditional hours and maintain a consistent regional driving schedule. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while driving and safely enter and exit the truck and trailer. Ability to complete required vehicle inspections and handle related equipment. Ability to meet applicable DOT medical qualification requirements and safely perform the essential functions of the role.
