Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and leadership for dietary departments across multiple healthcare facilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Manage food service teams, including supervising staff, managing schedules, and fostering a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality patient care. Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to food safety management practices, health regulation policies, and proper food handling procedures. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop tailored care plans that incorporate clinical nutrition principles and support recovery or ongoing health needs. Supervise the implementation of dietetic care plans, including specialized nutrition therapies such as tube feeding and diagnostic evaluations. Ensure compliance with all health codes related to food service health and safety standards, including regular audits and staff training on food safety management. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient nutrition data, care plans, and departmental records. Manage departmental budgets effectively, including food procurement, labor costs, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency. Lead initiatives in food service health coaching to educate patients and staff on nutrition best practices and lifestyle modifications. Oversee the management of acute care dietary services, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious meals that meet individual patient needs. Skills Extensive experience in assisted living settings or healthcare environments with a focus on dietary services. Proven management skills with experience supervising food service teams in fast-paced settings; adept at team management and leadership development. Deep understanding of health regulation policies related to food safety management and compliance with health codes. Skilled in managing budgets, food production processes, and inventory control to ensure cost-effective operations without compromising quality. Must have a Certified Dietary Manager license (CDM) Must have experience managing dietary operations for multiple healthcare facilities. Knowledge of food service health code compliance standards and best practices for maintaining a safe dining environment.
