Purpose of Role: Tankr is seeking a Regional Branch Manager in Hammond, IN, South Bend, MI, and Addison, MI. The main responsibilities of Branch Manager is for the overall management of branch operations while also handling dispatching duties to ensure efficient fuel delivery. This includes overseeing staff, managing fleet logistics, optimizing delivery schedules, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The role requires leadership in hiring, training, dispatching, problem-solving, and customer service while ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, FMCSA, and DOT regulations, as well as adherence to Company and Customer Safety Policies, procedures, and practices. This position may involve working in various weather conditions, a high level of physical activity, and being around fumes and high noise levels. Primary Responsibilities Main Job Requirements: Minimum 21 years of age with a minimum Class A or B CDL Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement A clean driving record and pass a background check Able to pass DOT Alcohol/Drug Testing 1. Leadership & Supervisory Duties Hire and train qualified candidates for entry-level roles. Oversee day-to-day workflow of the branch, including dispatch and fleet operations. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend promotions or salary adjustments. Set and monitor operational goals in collaboration with the Area Manager. Ensure compliance with internal, local, state, and federal policies regarding fuel handling and transportation. Recruit and onboard new employees to build a strong operational team. Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure objectives and expectations are clear. 2. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination Plan, schedule, and dispatch fuel deliveries efficiently. Assign drivers to routes based on availability, proximity, and fuel demand. Communicate real-time updates on route changes, delivery priorities, and fuel terminal availability. Ensure drivers adhere to DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance. Monitor GPS tracking and optimize routing to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Coordinate emergency backup drivers for any driver absences or disruptions. Audit fuel meters for accuracy and monitor fuel inventory. 3. BOL (Bill of Lading) Management & Verification Ensure that BOLs (Bills of Lading) are accurately collected, reviewed, and processed for every fuel load. Verify fuel volumes, grades, and terminal information against delivery schedules to ensure accuracy. Cross-check BOL documentation with dispatch records, driver logs, and customer invoices. Communicate with drivers, fuel terminals, and customers to resolve discrepancies. Maintain a digital and physical filing system for all BOLs to ensure regulatory compliance and financial tracking. Provide BOL reports and reconciliations to accounting and operations teams. 4. Operational & Compliance Management Purchase fuel for scheduled routes. Coordinate fuel deliveries to the yard. Perform site visits for new prospective clients. Ensure trucks are maintained and meet all regulatory safety standards. Maintain inventory of fueling supplies and spill prevention equipment. Be available and on-call during operational hours to handle unexpected issues. Ensure proper documentation of bills of lading, fuel terminal tickets, and compliance reports. 5.
