What You’ll Be Doing
Keep reefer units road-ready through minor preventative maintenance, including downloads, prime and start, RPM adjustments, pre-trips, fuel polishing, wash-outs, and battery replacements.
Complete major services that extend unit life and reduce breakdowns on the road.
Diagnose, repair, and replace charging system components, including starters and alternators.
Restore engine performance by repairing flywheels, belts, bearings, and damper doors.
Solve electrical faults quickly using scanners, electronic test equipment, and on-board computers.
Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration failures on truck and trailer units, including Freon leak testing, component replacement, soldering, and welding.
Partner with the Service Writer to turn inspection findings into the right repair, done right the first time.
What We’re Looking For
5 to 7 years of experience as a reefer technician.
Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance, major services, and repairs on truck and trailer refrigeration units.
Strong electrical and charging system diagnostic skills.
Confident use of scanners, electronic test equipment, and on-board unit computers.
Experience with Freon leak detection, soldering, welding, and refrigeration equipment.
Carrier and/or Thermo King training or accreditation is a strong asset.
A team player who works safely, owns their work, and takes pride in quality.
Compensation & Work Model
$25.00 to $38.00 per hour, based on experience.
Additional hourly premiums for shift and skills.
$3,000 sign-on bonus program (terms and conditions apply).
Full-time, on-site, day shift.
