Reefer Mechanic/Technician

This position requires experience in Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units As a Diesel Reefer Mechanic, you will perform all levels of maintenance services, with the primary focus on refrigeration units such as Thermo King and Carrier commercial refrigeration equipment designed for commercial trailers. Be able to test lines, components, and connections using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment Read complex schematics associated with refrigeration equipment Provide additional support regarding preventative maintenance and tractor trailer maintenance as required Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications Perform system repairs to include engines, hydraulic systems, tires, electrical and A/C. Reefer Mechanic/Technician Requirements Certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Must have experience as a reefer or Thermo King/Carrier mechanic Specialized training and experience in the overhaul of refrigeration components required CDL license **Preferred** High school diploma or GED Ability to read, write and speak English Basic math skills Strong diagnostic skills Knowledge of hydraulics Own set of tools The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to pass pre-employment drug screen Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred) reefer repair on TK and Carrier units: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Drums, PA 18222 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Drums, PA 18222: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
