Red Seal Plumber – Subcontractor

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Red Seal Plumber to join our team as a Subcontractor. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while following proper lifting techniques. Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures, HVAC components, and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues with plumbing or HVAC systems effectively. Assemble piping systems, fittings, valves, and fixtures with precision to meet project specifications. Collaborate with construction teams on-site to coordinate tasks such as carpentry, welding, or other trades necessary for project completion. Qualifications Valid Red Seal certification as a plumber with proven experience in construction or maintenance environments. Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in HVAC systems, schematics reading, and system troubleshooting. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction-related tools safely and effectively. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is essential for accurate installation and repairs. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or system layouts. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during assembly or installation tasks. Knowledge of safety protocols related to plumbing work, heavy machinery operation, welding procedures, and working at heights is preferred.
