Job Duties
This position will manage and execute all administrative and operational activities related to recruiting. Ensures and provides efficient and consistent processing of documentation, including advertisement processing (print and screen applications); pre-employment hiring (fingerprint/background checks, drug/alcohol check, licensure verification, reference checks, offer letters); post-employment processing (closing of recruitment file) and starting salary development.
Successful candidate should possess:
•Knowledge of employment procedures/guidelines; ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and electronically.
•Ability to set and meet stringent deadlines. Skilled in the use of computer software, including Microsoft Word, and Excel, and email software such as Microsoft Outlook and Google.
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on matters such as advertisements, screenings, scheduling interviews, pre-employment process, hiring date, starting salary and deadlines, conditions of employment, using standardized procedures.
•Ability to perform fingerprinting activities and to conduct oral alcohol/drug screens.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize yet be receptive and malleable to the changing needs of the recruitment department team.
•Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet short deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
•Experience in the full-cycle recruitment process, including pipeline velocity, time-to-fill and candidate experience optimization.
•Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workday, iCIMS, PageUp or similar.
•Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas, tracking, etc.)
• Experience in handling multiple requests, prioritizing volume, and managing competing deadlines.
Additional Considerations
• Course work in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration or equivalent training and experience.
• Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP).
• Experience working in large, and complex public entity with diverse employee populations.
