Role and Responsibilities:
The Reclaim Specialist is responsible for identifying and reclaiming salvageable products from damaged, expired, or returned stock. Your role is essential in ensuring the proper handling and recovery of inventory to optimize asset utilization and reduce waste. Key responsibilities include:
• Inspect and assess damaged, returned, or expired products to determine salvageability and value.
• Reclaim usable items by sorting, cleaning, and preparing them for resale or redistribution.
• Ensure proper documentation of reclaimed goods, including detailed inventory and condition reports.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure reclaimed inventory is processed, stored, and categorized correctly.
• Work with the warehouse team to ensure damaged items are segregated and disposed of appropriately when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area that adheres to company safety standards and regulations.
• Assist in improving reclaim processes by providing feedback on efficiencies and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or product reclamation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess the condition and value of products.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and inventory tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to maintain inventory records.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using inventory management software or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of basic repair techniques for minor product damage.
• Previous experience in logistics, distribution, or reclamation operations.
