Role Description The Receiving Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Latham, NY, responsible for overseeing daily receiving operations within the store. This role coordinates the unloading of shipments, verifies merchandise against documentation, and ensures accurate and timely processing of inbound inventory. The Receiving Supervisor leads and schedules receiving team members, provides training and guidance, and promotes adherence to safety, loss prevention, and company procedures. Daily responsibilities include organizing stockroom and back-of-house areas, monitoring inventory flow to the sales floor, and collaborating with store management to support operational and merchandising needs. The role also involves operating material handling equipment as needed and maintaining a clean, efficient, and compliant receiving environment. Qualifications Supervisory skills and experience leading teams in a retail, warehouse, or distribution environment. Proficiency in shipping & receiving processes, including verifying shipments, processing freight, and managing documentation. Knowledge of inventory control and operations management to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient workflow. Ability to safely perform forklift operation and use other material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across store departments. Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active environment, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent; prior receiving or logistics experience in retail or a similar setting preferred.
