About the Role The Receiving Supervisor provides leadership and direction within the Receiving Department while actively participating in daily receiving operations. This position is responsible for coordinating workflow, ensuring shipments are received, inspected, stored, and moved efficiently, and supporting the team in meeting productivity, quality, accuracy, safety, and service goals. The Receiving Supervisor works alongside the receiving team as needed to support unloading, intake, product movement, put-away, and other departmental activities while also providing leadership, training, coaching, and operational direction. What You’ll Do Lead and support the Receiving team by providing direction, training, coaching, feedback, and the tools needed to meet departmental and individual goals. Oversee and actively participate in the receiving process, including unloading shipments, inspecting product, receiving product into the system, using RF scanners, moving product, and completing put-away activities. Work alongside receiving team members to help complete daily operational tasks and provide hands-on support during periods of high volume, staffing shortages, or changing business needs. Coordinate daily workflow, staffing, schedules, and labor assignments based on workload, volume, and operational priorities. Ensure receiving and put-away activities are completed accurately and within required deadlines to support downstream warehouse and Pick/Pack operations Monitor productivity, quality, accuracy, service, labor, and budget performance and take action to address issues or improve results Identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness Partner with other members of the management team and departments to communicate staffing needs, workload, operational performance, and priorities Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant work environment and ensure employees follow company safety standards and operational procedures. Work Environment & Physical Requirements (If Applicable) This role operates in a warehouse and refrigerated cooler environment, with exposure to temperatures of approximately 34°F, moving equipment, varying noise levels, and occasional outdoor conditions. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move items over 50 pounds and safely operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, hand trucks, box cutters, and other material-handling equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
