Receiving Supervisor

Job Overview As a Receiving Supervisor, you’ll keep inbound warehouse operations moving safely and accurately. You’ll lead the receiving team, coordinate shipments, and maintain reliable inventory records across warehouse distribution and distribution center operations. Your impact: Accurate receiving and inventory control helps warehouse teams find the materials they need and keep logistics flowing. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily receiving activities, including unloading, inspection, documentation, and put-away. Manage team assignments, coach employees, and communicate priorities clearly across warehouse operations. Use inventory management systems, a warehouse management system (WMS), radio-frequency (RF) scanners, to track receipts and resolve discrepancies. Monitor inventory management and inventory control processes; identify process improvement opportunities using Lean management principles. Promote safe materials handling and forklift and material handling equipment operation in line with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. Requirements Warehouse experience, including warehouse supervisor experience or demonstrated team leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of warehouse management, warehouse distribution, logistics, and distribution center operations. Experience with shipping and receiving, inventory management systems, RF scanners, and other technologies is useful. Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely; meet the physical demands of heavy lifting and materials handling. Strong managerial communication skills; knowledge of OSHA practices and Lean management is preferred.
