This is a 1st shift position with the following hours: Monday-Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm (Overtime may be required) What You Will Do: Learn to set up and assemble parts. Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools. Learn to accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions. Responsible for quality product standards with no defects. Responsible for building parts that meet customer deadlines and expectations. Responsible to comply with applicable elements of quality systems. Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events, as required. Participate in audits. Learn to assemble small electronic components to printed circuit boards. Conduct fundamental testing to test equipment setting controls, observing readings and actions of instrument checking for malfunctions. Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required. Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Comply with all rules and regulations of United Technologies, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance and Human Resources. Complete assigned tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills. Check work methods and results for conformance to standards and re-instruct as required. Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualification You Must Have: Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Qualifications We Prefer Experience using an ERP desired. SAP experience is preferred. PIV experience is preferred. Current training in appropriate shipping regulations, hazardous/dangerous goods packaging and shipping, government, international, ocean air, parcel and LTL truck shipments. Maintain as required. Skills in label making, proper label application, paperwork preparation, and shipment packing.
