We’re seeking a proactive, highly dependable Receiving & Shipping Associate to take primary ownership of our daily receiving operations while also providing coverage and support for shipping. This role is critical to keeping inventory moving accurately through our facility. You’ll receive and process incoming packages and freight, verify shipments, organize incoming inventory, and ensure materials and products are routed to the right place quickly and accurately. You’ll also be cross-trained on our shipping processes and expected to step in as needed to help fulfill ecommerce orders, retailer shipments, and outbound freight. This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership without needing constant direction. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and process incoming packages, deliveries, and freight Verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and other documentation Identify and communicate discrepancies, shortages, damage, or incorrect items Accurately label, sort, organize, and route incoming inventory and materials Maintain an organized receiving area and ensure incoming products move through the facility efficiently Coordinate with Production, Inventory, Purchasing, and other teams regarding incoming materials Assist with inventory organization and movement throughout the facility Help maintain accurate receiving records and documentation Monitor receiving and shipping supplies and communicate replenishment needs Cross-train on all major shipping functions to provide reliable coverage when needed Pack, label, and ship ecommerce orders accurately and on time Assist with palletized freight and retailer orders Help coordinate outbound freight when covering shipping operations Identify and resolve routine receiving and shipping issues independently, escalating when necessary Maintain clean, safe, and organized receiving and shipping work areas Requirements Self-Starter: Comfortable taking ownership of daily responsibilities and identifying what needs to be done without constant supervision. Detail-Oriented: Able to verify part numbers, quantities, documentation, and shipment details accurately. Organized: Capable of managing multiple incoming deliveries and priorities while keeping materials properly identified and routed. Reliable: Consistent attendance, punctuality, and follow-through are essential. Hands-On: Comfortable working in a warehouse/production environment and handling packages, inventory, and freight. Collaborative: Communicates clearly and works effectively with Production, Inventory, Customer Service, Purchasing, and other departments. Flexible: Willing and able to shift between receiving and shipping responsibilities based on business needs.
