Receiving Operator / Warehouse Associate / Production Runner & Refill Operator
Sozio, Inc.Position Summary The Receiving Operator / Warehouse Associate / Production Runner & Refill Operator is responsible for receiving raw materials, maintaining warehouse organization, supporting production by supplying materials, refilling production stations, and ensuring accurate inventory transactions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and a safe, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Receiving Operations Receive incoming raw materials, packaging, and supplies. Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips. Inspect incoming materials for damage, correct quantities, and proper labeling. Report discrepancies or damaged materials to Purchasing and Quality. Label and identify materials according to company procedures. Enter receipts into the MES system using barcode scanners. Store materials in designated warehouse locations --- Warehouse Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse. Organize inventory to maximize storage efficiency. Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories. Consolidate partial containers when appropriate. Ensure all materials are stored according to safety and compatibility requirements. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. --- Production Runner Responsibilities Deliver raw materials, containers, and supplies to production operators. Remove empty drums, totes, pails, and waste from production areas. Return unused materials to the warehouse following inventory procedures. Keep production supplied with all necessary materials to minimize downtime. --- Production Refill Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels at production refill stations. Refill production blue pails throughout the shift. Ensure refill containers are properly identified and scanned. Rotate inventory using FIFO principles. Maintain cleanliness and organization of refill stations. Notify supervisors of d=inventory discrepancies --- Inventory Control Scan all inventory movements using barcode equipment. Maintain accurate inventory transactions in the MES system. Assist in investigating inventory discrepancies. Ensure proper lot traceability at all times. --- Safety & Quality Follow all OSHA, GMP, and Sozio safety procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Handle fragrance raw materials safely according to SDS requirements. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain high housekeeping standards (5S). --- Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience. Ability to safely operate forklifts (or willingness to become certified). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly. Comfortable using barcode scanners and computer systems. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Experience in fragrance, chemical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing. Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (Sage X3, BatchMetrics, SAP, Oracle, etc.). Knowledge of FIFO inventory practices. Forklift certification. --- Physical Requirements Frequent walking throughout the warehouse and production areas. Standing for extended periods. Repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials. Ability to climb ladders when necessary.
