Receiving Material Handler

Job Title: Receiving Material Handler The Receiving Material Handler is responsible for managing incoming shipments, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately processed and recorded. This position involves inspecting and verifying the contents of shipments, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: Receive Shipments: Unload packages from incoming trucks and sign paperwork upon receipt. Deliveries: Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and invoices, checking quantity, quality, and price. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of received goods and assist in inventory control. Communication: Contact suppliers or shippers if discrepancies are found and arrange for returns or replacements. Label and Store: Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated storage areas. Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during the receiving process. Requirements: Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or similar position. Basic math and recording abilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Good physical condition for unloading shipments. Forklift Experience required. High school diploma or equivalent. Skills: Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP systems a plus.
