Job Overview MUST HAVE PREVIOUS RECEIVING LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Receiving Lead to oversee our receiving operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the receiving process, ensuring inventory accuracy, and leading a team to optimize warehouse efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of inventory management, and experience in logistics and warehouse distribution. Salary is based on experience and discussed during interview process. NOTE: This is a fast paced environment with possible 12hr shifts (M-F and on Saturdays until Noon). The days can be hot in the plant while receiving in orders throughout the day. There are seldom times to sit in between the work load unless receiving in orders or responding to emails. This role requires a lot of stamina and willingness to work in the heat. If you are not up for hard work then this may not be the role for you. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming shipments. Supervise and assist in receiving and inspecting all incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring all items match purchase orders. Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and ensure stock accuracy. Utilize data system to track inventory levels, manage stock locations, report shortages in inventory and look for missing parts. Lead receiving team, providing training and guidance on best practices for materials handling and receiving processes. Conduct regular audits of inventory and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards within the warehouse environment. Maintain clear communication with purchasing department to better manage material and logistics effectively. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely while adhering to company policies. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor, with a strong understanding of inventory management principles. Familiarity with logistics processes, including shipping & receiving operations. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems software is a plus. Experience with order shipping, and receiving processes. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate with management effectively upholds safety standards on the floor and with team members Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Dependable and reliable, good time management skills Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
