Receiving/Inventory Specialist - Tropical Produce

M&M Farm Inc. 14945 SW 197th Ave Miami, FL 33196-2236 West Kendall/Homestead Pay range: $14-17 depending on experience We are looking for an inventory specialist to work with the receiving and inventory of latin and tropical fruit and vegetables. We are a family-owned produce grower, shipper, and distributor based in the West Kendall/Homestead area. We specialize in tropical and latin produce. Ideal candidates will possess a personable and positive attitude that will easily incorporate into our busy workplace every day. We would like someone with at least 2 years of agricultural/produce experience. Receiving and processing incoming stock : This involves verifying the accuracy of the shipment and recording it in the inventory system. Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or warehouse distribution. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. Picking and filling orders : The inventory clerk is responsible for selecting the correct items from the stock and preparing them for shipment. Packing and shipping orders : Ensuring that all items are packed correctly and that the packaging meets customer requirements. Managing and organizing stock : Maintaining an organized storage area to optimize space utilization and ensure easy access to stock. Performing inventory audits : Regularly conducting physical counts of inventory to verify accuracy against recorded data. Generating reports on inventory discrepancies : Identifying and resolving discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records. Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data and email communications. Using inventory Spreadsheet : Updating inventory records and generating reports. Experience with agricultural products or similar perishables. These responsibilities are crucial for maintaining the packinghouse's inventory levels and ensuring efficient operations. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
