Receiving & Inventory Associate

Description : Spectrum Wine is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Associate to support inventory control across our auction, retail, and storage operations. This position is responsible for receiving shipments, verifying product information, barcoding items, and organizing and scanning inventory into shelf locations. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and communicates effectively with teams across all three divisions to keep inventory accurate and operations running efficiently. Compensation: $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience Responsibilities Include : Scanning auction inventory into shelf locations after entry, reorganizing existing stock as needed, and updating locations whenever items are moved. Receiving incoming shipments across all divisions, determining their proper destination, and ensuring items are organized and assigned a designated location. Barcoding incoming retail products and coordinating with the merchandising team to prepare and place inventory in its designated sales floor or warehouse location. Identifying and recording inventory discrepancies, reporting any damage to incoming products or shipments. Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed based on workload and operational priorities. Successful Candidates Demonstrate : Consistent punctuality and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts. Both are required. Strong attention to detail when checking products, quantities, barcodes, and shelf locations. The ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack and regularly lift and move 40-pound cases of wine. Must be comfortable working in a temperature-controlled warehouse maintained at approximately 55–60°F. Experience working with wine or a demonstrated interest in wine is preferred. Shift: Monday through Friday Work Location: In person at Spectrum Wine’s Santa Ana warehouse Minimum Required Experience and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. One to two years of warehouse experience required, including receiving, verifying incoming items, and recording inventory movements. At least one year of inventory control experience preferred. Forklift operation experience preferred, along with the ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack. Experience using handheld scanners or inventory software required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook and the ability to quickly learn proprietary software. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions, manage competing priorities, and work accurately under pressure.
