Laneys IncJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments to ensure seamless inventory management and efficient warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help maintain stock accuracy, support shipping and order fulfillment processes, and uphold safety standards within the distribution environment. Duties Receive and unload inbound shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols. Verify shipment contents against purchase orders or packing lists using data entry and inventory management software. Inspect incoming goods for damages or discrepancies and document findings accurately in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems like AS400. Organize and stock received items efficiently within designated warehouse areas, ensuring proper labeling and storage. Assist with order picking, packing, and preparing items for outbound shipping to meet customer delivery timelines. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping logistics, including scheduling pickups and ensuring compliance with trade regulations and international trade standards. Maintain accurate records of all receiving activities, including inbound logs, incident reports, and inventory updates using RF scanners and other digital tools. Qualifications Prior experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers is highly preferred. Proficiency with inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and Microsoft Office applications. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and trade compliance requirements. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and inventory accuracy. Customer service mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment in a fast-paced setting.
