Receiving Associate
Dyne Fire Protection LabsWe are looking for a detail-driven Receiving Associate to keep the testing process moving. You will be the first set of hands on every fire sprinkler sample that comes through our doors, making sure it is received, documented, and prepared accurately for testing, while serving as a friendly, responsive point of contact for our customers. If you take pride in getting the details right, enjoy juggling multiple tasks, and like being part of a team that supports fire safety, this is the role for you. What You’ll Do: Receive & Log Samples: Open incoming sample boxes and input each sample into our database for testing. Document & Prepare: Photograph incoming fire sprinkler samples and tape sprinkler threads with plumbing tape so they are ready for the lab. Take Care of Customers: Communicate with customers through phone calls and email correspondence, answering questions and keeping them informed. Keep the Lab Supplied: Assemble test kits, fill test kit orders, and stock inventory of supplies as needed. Handle Test Tags & Mailings: Laminate test tags and mail them using a postal meter. Manage Records & Retention: File samples and dispose of them after the two-month retention period, and recycle job folders after the one-year retention period. Support the Team: Take on miscellaneous duties as requested by the lab manager, accounts team, or administration team. What Success Looks Like (KPIs): Accuracy: Samples are logged, photographed, and prepared correctly the first time, with complete and reliable records. Turnaround: Incoming samples are received and entered promptly so testing stays on schedule. Customer Experience: Customer calls and emails receive timely, courteous, and helpful responses. Organization: Test kits, supplies, and retention schedules are kept up to date with nothing falling through the cracks. Who You Are: Detail-Obsessed: Careful attention to detail comes naturally to you, and you know small mistakes matter in a testing environment. A Great Communicator: You bring excellent communication skills and treat co-workers, customers, and vendors with respect. Organized & Efficient: You manage your time well and can multi-task across several projects at once. A Customer-First Teammate: You put the customer first, pitch in for the team, and bring a positive, can-do attitude every day. Required Qualifications & Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel. Database experience; we use Microsoft Access. Familiarity with ISO quality systems is helpful but not required. Experience with UPS WorldShip and a postal meter is helpful. Candidates will be asked to complete a proficiency test as part of the hiring process. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
