Receiving and Shipping Associate

Santa Barbara Imaging Systems (SBIS) is a medical device company located in Goleta, CA. SBIS focuses on research, development and manufacturing of medical video imaging systems for use in surgical applications. Santa Barbara Imaging Systems is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Associate in the Operations Department. This is a permanent in-person position, full time, and we have an immediate opening. The candidate will be working in a medical device manufacturing environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, and experience with MRP systems is preferred. Responsibilities: -Receiving: Receiving raw materials, components, and returned products. Data entry into company MRP database. Counting parts to ensure they meet PO requirements, verifying part numbers, breaking down boxes and packaging. -Shipping: Packaging and shipping finished medical devices and repaired product to customers worldwide. Data entry into company MRP database. Setting up shipments, domestic and international, with FedEx/UPS/DHL/etc. -Various other operations tasks as needed, including organizing and maintaining the shipping/receiving and inventory areas. Requirements: -High school degree or equivalent required. Experience in manufacturing and the use of a MRP system is preferred. -Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. -This position involves packaging medical devices and unpacking boxes daily. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and be able to stand for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Schedule: This is a full-time and on-site position Monday - Friday.
