Receiving and Shipping Associate

Packaging & Shipping Associate Company: Blue Patriot Fab Department: Shipping & Receiving Position Summary Blue Patriot Fab is seeking a dependable Packaging & Shipping Associate to prepare large industrial products for shipment, operate a forklift, and safely load and unload semi-trucks. This position requires previous shipping experience and the ability to properly package, secure, and handle large items for transportation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Package and secure large products for safe transportation. Prepare products and materials for shipment according to customer and company requirements. Operate a forklift to move, stage, load, and unload materials. Load and unload semi-trucks safely and efficiently. Verify shipment quantities, product identification, and shipping documentation. Inspect products and packaging for damage before shipment. Secure loads using appropriate materials and methods. Maintain an organized shipping and staging area. Follow all company safety procedures, including requirements for forklift operation and material handling. Communicate shipping issues, damaged products, and discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other related duties as assigned. Who we are looking for: We are looking for someone who understands the importance of preparing shipments correctly, handling large products safely, and ensuring materials leave our facility ready for transportation. Previous forklift operating experience. Prefer previous shipping experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment. Experience shipping large or oversized items. Experience packaging large products for transport. Experience loading and unloading semi-trucks. Ability to safely handle heavy and bulky materials using appropriate equipment. Ability to follow shipping instructions and safety procedures. Dependable attendance and attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work around industrial equipment and moving materials. Ability to handle packaging materials and assist with securing loads using appropriate tools and equipment. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Environment This position operates in a predominantly outdoor manufacturing and shipping environment with forklifts, large industrial products, semi-trucks, and material-handling equipment.
