Receiving and Shipping Associate

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiving and Shipping Associate to join our parts department. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting overall operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of parts and materials, contributing to the seamless flow of goods within our organization. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments of parts and materials, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages or discrepancies. Accurately document received items and update inventory records accordingly. Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling parts for delivery or transfer. Coordinate with carriers and shipping providers to arrange pickups and deliveries as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and cycle counts. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during all shipping and receiving activities. Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues related to shipments or inventory discrepancies. Requirements Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and external vendors. Ability to lift heavy packages safely and stand for extended periods during shift hours. Basic computer skills for updating inventory systems and documentation. Reliable work ethic with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in daily tasks.
