ready mix truck driver

Overview As a ready mix truck driver, you’ll transport and deliver concrete to construction sites while operating a commercial vehicle and concrete mixer. You’ll coordinate with site teams, follow delivery instructions, and work safely around active construction projects. Your impact: Timely, careful deliveries help crews place and finish concrete efficiently and keep projects moving. Responsibilities Drive a ready mix truck to and from job sites in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and applicable safety regulations. Operate the concrete mixer and discharge concrete as directed Inspect, clean, and perform routine equipment maintenance on the truck and mixer; report mechanical issues IMMEDIATELY and have GOOD COMMUNICATION Communicate with dispatch and site crews, and use basic math/knowledge to confirm delivery details. Work around paving and asphalt paving operations, bituminous materials, screeds, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks while following site safety protocols. Qualifications Commercial truck driving or commercial driving experience and the ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely. Familiarity with concrete, concrete forming, concrete finishing, paving, or paving equipment operation is preferred. Mechanical knowledge and experience with construction machinery maintenance, equipment maintenance, heavy equipment operation, or loader operation are valued. Ability to follow safety regulations and safety protocols; experience with an excavator, dump truck, screeds, or concrete mixer is a plus.
