Reach Truck Operator (Stand Up Forklift Operator)
ConfidentialFull Time Monday-Friday 1sr shift 7am-3:30pm We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Truck Operator (Stand-Up Forklift Operator) to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a stand-up reach forklift to move, store, locate, and stack materials safely within high-density racking systems. The ideal candidate has strong spatial awareness, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Safely operate a stand-up reach truck/forklift to transport, load, and unload palletized inventory into narrow aisles and multi-level rack systems (up to [e.g., 30+ feet]). Inventory Handling: Retrieve, stage, and store materials efficiently according to bin/rack locations using Warehouse Management System (WMS) scanners or pick sheets. Safety & Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of the reach truck (checking hydraulics, brakes, battery/fuel levels) and report maintenance issues immediately; adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols. Quality & Accuracy: Verify item counts, product codes, and condition of goods prior to putaway or shipment to minimize inventory errors and damages. Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work aisles, dock space, and rack areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: Minimum of [1–2 years] of experience operating a stand-up reach truck/narrow-aisle forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to pass company certification testing upon hire). Technical Skills: Experience using handheld RF barcode scanners and familiarity with basic WMS operations. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and maneuver on equipment for extended periods (8+ hour shifts). Ability to lift, push, pull up to [50 lbs] occasionally.
