Reach Truck Operator
BEM ConsultingOverview As a Reach Truck Operator, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by safely handling, storing, and retrieving products. You’ll use reach trucks and other material handling equipment to support order picking, inventory management, and shipping and receiving. This hands-on role suits someone who works carefully, follows safety standards, and stays focused in a fast-paced warehouse distribution environment. Responsibilities Operate a reach truck, forklift, lift truck, and pallet jack to load, unload, move, and stage materials. Pick orders using barcode scanning and a warehouse management system; verify items and inventory records. Support shipping and receiving by checking products, organizing pallets, and preparing orders for dispatch. Follow forklift safety protocols, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, and production safety standards. Your impact: Accurate, safe handling helps warehouse teams fulfill orders reliably and keeps products moving to customers. Skills Essential: Warehouse experience; reach truck or forklift operation; safe materials handling, manual handling, and heavy lifting; basic math; and attention to detail. Essential: Ability to follow safety procedures and operate material handling equipment in active warehouse operations. Preferred: Experience with order pickers, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo equipment, or other heavy equipment. Preferred: Knowledge of warehouse management, inventory management, warehouse distribution, order picking, and shipping and receiving. Equipment repair knowledge and warehouse supervisor experience are helpful but not required. Pay: $21.00 per hour Work Location: In person
